The procedure today was successful, however it left me in a lot of pain. Thanks to the hydrocodone prescribed its temporarily subsided. I really hope this party doesnt last long. I miss feeling well and playing with my babies.
If anyone reading this has a 2 year old, I have a question for you. We are starting to get concerned. Finn is this coordinated, mechanically minded child. However, while his vocabulary is a little more than 20 words, its so rare that he initiates conversation. He will repeat things, if he has multiples of something he will count to 2 or 3, and he will ask for bites of food. Other than that, I have to ask him to talk. If I ask he will ask for a cracker or a drink, or say nose and point to it. We have a check up appt for him tomorrow anyways, so I will be asking but Im just feeling so concerned. Im gonna at least ask for a hearing test to rule that out..cus he does like to walk around babbling. A lot of the babbling almost sounds like words so thats why my concern for his ears. I just want to make sure this is his pace at learning and not reason for concern. Over the last week, Ive increased how much I talk to him about, we spend more time reading and singing songs..Im hoping these things will help some. However, the kid has a fairly short attention span(thank you A.D.H.D Daddy).
So my question is, any of you with kids this age, do you have the same concern? Does your kid have much conversation with you. Or if you have been in my position, what was done for your child? Any input is welcome! Like I said so many of his actions show a fair amount of intelligence so Im not sure how concerned, at this point, Im suppose to be. Thanks in advance!
