Many of our fantastic friends came too! All the little boys seemed to really enjoy playing with all the big dump trucks. The girls loved the playdough and painting.
I guess I could show you a few more pictures of everything :) First Ill explain some concepts. Each table had black table cloths. They were striped with either a solid yellow line or the broken white line like the roads. Center pieces of little orange cones I found at Dollar Tree in the classroom supplies! and a construction vehicle of some sort and of course balloons. There was a table also set up of plastic hard hats instead of party hats and stickers for them to add their names. Two other activities were building with playdough, I had out to trays of play tools for them to use with the dough. Also, I found construction themed sun catchers on oriental trading, and had a table set up to paint them.
For food, I ordered a big ole chicken tray, cus ya know who doesnt like chicken? I filled the back of one dump truck with Doritos, I filled and tray will grapes(Finns favorite fruit), Finally, I filled a dump truck of dirt cake(clever, eh?). For beverage I used a big 5 gallon igloo cooler just like on a job site!
Tools!
In place of streamers we also used caution tape. Much better with the theme, goes a longer way than a package of streamers too! That makes it cheaper ;)
I have to say Im rather proud of how it all turned out! The kids had a great time! Finn loved everything.
Considering our freezer went out as we were trying to get out of the house and we had guests in our tiny place so we are almost literally stepping over each other. Considering all that, it went great!
Bundled up sister.
Well I officially chronicled the fun day, good night!
